Not everything that holds up a Syrian abroad is a dispute with a person; a great deal of it is a matter stalled at a government office, or a decision issued while they were away. That is what this department is for.
What this department handles
- Pursuing matters before government departments and official bodies on your behalf.
- Challenging and appealing administrative decisions.
- Licences, registers and official entries: obtaining, correcting and updating them.
- Obtaining official documents and certified copies.
- Finding out where a stalled matter stands and why it stopped.
The value of checking before acting
Many matters do not need a case brought at all; they need someone to find out where they stopped and why. We normally begin by checking. If it can be resolved administratively, it is. If it needs an appeal or a case, we say so before you commit to anything.
What helps at the first consultation
The kind of matter, the office it was submitted to, its number or date if you have them, and the text of the decision if you hold it.
How your file is handled while you are abroad
You start by requesting a consultation through the form or on WhatsApp. The legal team reviews your situation and assigns the right specialist. The first consultation is free, and in it we set out what can be done and which documents you will need. Where the matter has to be followed before Syrian courts or authorities, that is done under a power of attorney drawn up and authenticated at the Syrian consulate or embassy in your country of residence, or before a local notary with the required attestations; we tell you the wording you need and the steps that apply where you live. From there everything runs by message, voice call or video call, with no need for you to travel.
