Criminal matters are the most time-sensitive and the hardest to follow from abroad, because the steps taken in them do not wait for you to be present. This department represents you and follows your file before the competent authorities under a valid power of attorney.
What this department handles
- Filing and pursuing complaints on your behalf, and responding to complaints filed against you.
- Defence and representation before the competent judicial authorities at each stage.
- Finding out the status of an existing file and what has been done in it.
- Cheque, breach of trust, fraud and other matters with a criminal character.
- Challenging decisions and dealing with what follows from them.
What we do not promise
We do not promise an outcome or a timeframe. How a criminal case proceeds is decided by the courts and by the circumstances of the file. What we commit to is professional care, telling you where you stand as it is rather than as you would like to hear it, and keeping you informed as the file moves.
What helps at the first consultation
The file or case number if you have one, the authority handling it, the names of the parties as they appear officially, and a short account of what happened. If you have none of that, we can begin by finding out the status.
How your file is handled while you are abroad
You start by requesting a consultation through the form or on WhatsApp. The legal team reviews your situation and assigns the right specialist. The first consultation is free, and in it we set out what can be done and which documents you will need. Where the matter has to be followed before Syrian courts or authorities, that is done under a power of attorney drawn up and authenticated at the Syrian consulate or embassy in your country of residence, or before a local notary with the required attestations; we tell you the wording you need and the steps that apply where you live. From there everything runs by message, voice call or video call, with no need for you to travel.
